FC Kochin, India's
first professional football club was formed in April 1997 under the
auspicious of Football Club Kochin Trust. Within a short
span of its operation, FC Kochin has become a very popular football
club in India and abroad. The club won the prestigious “Durand Cup”
in the year of its inception.

Ground
FC Kochin uses
the Jawaharlal Nehru Stadium, Kochi for its National League matches
and for practice. The stadium is on lease form the GCDA. It has a capacity
of 60,000.

Management
The
club is managed by FC Kochin Trust with Mr. P.V. Paul as the Managing
Trustee, Mr.Thomas Kannookadan & Mr.T.U.Davis as the Trustees. The
head office is at Kaloor, Kochi.
Mr. Paul Varghese is the chief Patron and Mr. K.J.Varoo the Manager.
Acheivements
FC
Kochin has become a legend within a short period. FC Kochin has contributed
substantially to the advancement of Kerala football within this short
span. During the first year, FC Kochin made sensation by winning India’s
most prestigious and oldest tournament - DURAND CUP in New Delhi in
1997.

Other
achievements include the All India Central Revenue Cup (1999), runners-up
in the IFA Shield, McDowells Cup and Scissors Cup (1998). FC Kochin
has also put up a consistent performance in the National Football League.
